The NRA Money Behind the Senate Judiciary Committee
National Rifle Association (NRA) Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre has called the video game industry a “callous, corrupt and corrupting shadow industry.”
Many people might feel that this is a more apt description of the gun industry and LaPierre's own organization, which spends millions of dollars each year to buy influence and access in Washington in order to block any new gun safety legislation.

Jan17Clean Elections Winners: Election Results
The results are in for the 2012 elections, and state Clean Elections' systems continue to be successful across the country.
In Arizona, three Corporation Commissioner candidates won using Clean Elections, and five out of nine of those seaking those seats participated in the program. In the state legislature, participating candidates made up 37 percent, or 57 out of 156, of those seeking office. A total of 26 percent, or 23 of 90 seats are filled by officials who used the Clean Elections program.
