    The Hill reports that Speaker of the House John Boehner has been a powerhouse fundraiser this cycle: "House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has raised more than $70 million for Republicans since winning the Speaker’s gavel, easily topping his fundraising haul for the previous two years in the minority." That includes money for himself, the NRCC, and members and candidates.

    Obama Tops $1 Billion

    President Obama has now raised more than $1 billion during his political career.

    The Daily Caller reports: "His total take reached $1,017,892,305 in April, some nine years after he began his 2004 race for the Senate. Obama is widely expected to raise at least $300 million more before November."

    The money chase is only going to get worse from here as money has become the key political currency.
