Politico: "Almost two-thirds of Americans believe corporations and unions shouldn’t be allowed to spend unlimited cash backing political candidates, according to a poll released Tuesday. The poll, done for the Freedom Forum’s First Amendment Center, found 63 percent of Americans disagreed with the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, while 30 percent agreed and 7 percent were undecided."

Jul13Is NRA Money Bottling Up "Stand Your Ground" Repeal in North Carolina?
With the North Carolina legislative session ending Friday, one bill that never saw the light of day was an attempt to repeal "Stand Your Ground provisions" that passed in 2011.
This house bill (HB 1192) never made it out of the Judiciary subcommittee where it was introduced in May. Was the bill buried because the NRA has spent years building influence in the state and key legislators have benefitted and stand to benefit politically by supporting NRA positions?

The legislative session ended in New York this year without a win for Fair Elections, but Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) isn't giving up--and he plans on pushing this issue through the fall and into the next legislative session, according to today's New York Post.
