Job Description :
When you stop to think about it everything from the food we buy to the air we breathe is influenced by our campaign finance system and the billions in campaign contributions flowing to candidates for state-level office, the U.S. Congress, and the Presidency. Public Campaign is the leading national group working to counter the influence of all this private money on our public policy by pushing for Clean Elections, or full public financing of elections. We’ve been successful in winning Clean Elections in several states and we’re focusing our efforts on winning more state systems, and taking Clean Elections to Congress. Term: June 10th – August 7th. This position is 40 hrs./week
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have a passion for social and economic justice organizing, strong attention to detail, good writing skills, superior organizational skills, and a “can-do-and-glad-to” attitude.
Salary and Benefits :
Stipend: $150/week

Just ten years ago, at the age of 90, she walked 3,000 miles across the country to Washington, D.C. to protest our political system that too often prizes big donors over the needs of everyday Americans.
