I retired from SSA 5 years ago this month.
I have nightmares pretty much every night that my pension was computed wrong, and I have to go back to SSA to continue earning retiremant years. The office is set in a large brick warehouse with exposed ceilings and wooden floors. There are no desks or cubicles - just breakroom tables shared by four employees each. I don't recognize anybody. They're all 30-year-old Yuppies in herringbone ivy league suits with striped shirts and club ties. They're all computer geeks, while I can't remember any of the programs or references. Everything I need is on the other side of the office, and I get lost finding my way back. Everytime I look at a folder, my phone rings. Eventually, my bladder wakes me up, and then I wait for my pulse to go back down before trying to resume sleep.
