Over at Roll Call, Janie Lorber has some details on the presidential campaigns fundraising by text message. "The fees — a percentage of the total amount raised via text — suggest that Obama outdid the former Massachusetts governor by a more than 500-to-1 ratio among texting donors."
I don't have the exact transcript, but when asked last night about voter suppression by Jay Leno (!), President Obama said, "We should be thinking about ways to make it easier for folks to vote, not to make it harder for folks to vote."

"Billionaire Sheldon Adelson is expanding his super PAC giving in October by making a huge contribution to a group working to return former Sen. George Allen (R-Va.) to his old seat." He also donated to the pro-Romney Hispanic Leadership Fund. By my count, that puts him giving to about 20 different candidates and committees. That's some influence!
