The New York Times reported that Mayor Michael Bloomberg plans to start a super PAC that will drop $10 to $15 million into the last few weeks of the election to boost a select few candidates and "reshape a national political debate he finds frustratingly superficial."
Dave Levinthal at Politico reported last night that outside groups have already spent $212.8 million this month, "enough to buy every resident of Flint, Mich., or Green Bay, Wis., a high-end LED flat screen television."
And filed with the FEC yesterday, "The Democratic National Convention relied on at least $5 million in corporate donations, despite repeated pledges by top party officials only to use money raised from individuals." Oops! HuffPost on GOP convention money.
