Congressman Sarbanes and Nick Nyhart host campaign finance reform roundtable

On Tuesday, June 26 from 7pm-9pm, Public Campaign’s Nick Nyhart will participate in a campaign finance reform discussion with Congressman John Sarbanes (D-Md.) and Maryland State Senator Jamie Raskin. Congressman Sarbanes has started a Grassroots Donor project in which he is modeling the Fair Elections Now Act by raising at least 1000 small-dollar donations.  Possible topics for discussion include how technology can bring more people into the democratic process, the role of small donors, and the prospects for campaign finance reform.
