Buying democracy is just wrong
Bill McKibben responds to some criticism of his op-ed a week or so ago about Congress being bought by special interests. "And in fact, we can separate free speech from the flood of money. The 1% get most of the luxuries our planet has to offer — but democracy is a necessity, and they shouldn't be allowed to own that too."
