Obama Knocks Supreme Court Decision

Submitted by Monica Rober on Mon, 02/01/2010 - 21:44

President Obama slams the Citizens United decision in his State of the Union Address, The Afro-American reports. "In a detour from his prepared speech, the president said, 'With all due deference to separation of powers, last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that, I believe, will open the floodgates for special interests, including foreign corporations, to spend without limit in our elections.'"The article goes on to name the Fair Elections Now Act as the viable solution to stopping the corporate takeover.
