Gov. Rell Urges Remedy

Submitted by Monica Rober on Fri, 12/11/2009 - 19:50

Governor M. Jodi Rell (R-Conn.) has written a letter to every member of the Connecticut General Assembly urging them to amend the Citizens' Election Program in the upcoming Special Session.“We do have a chance to remedy this issue next week when you return to the Capitol for the December 15 Special Session. It would be tragic to ignore this important opportunity and leave the fate and integrity of Connecticut’s campaign finance law to the interpretation of a federal court,” the Governor wrote. “Many candidates have already begun raising money under this system and could be left in legal limbo – quite unfairly – if we wait for all the legal options to be exhausted.”To read the full article, click here.
