New Hampshire Task Force Takes Off

Submitted by Monica Rober on Tue, 10/20/2009 - 14:49

New Hampshire's Citizen Funded Elections Task Force meets for the first time today to work on developing publicly financed elections for the state."Members of this new task force bring considerable expertise to the table," said Rep. Bob Perry, D-Strafford, a task force member. "There are also successful working models from other states, like Maine, Arizona and Connecticut, as well as a federal bill (the Fair Elections Now Act), from which ideas can be drawn in drafting a bill for New Hampshire. We'll need to identify sufficient and appropriate funding for a new system in order to get it under way."To read the full article, click here.
