A letter in The Chapel Hill News comments on the importance of more localities following the example of Chapel Hill, North Carolina in adopting public financing of elections in the wake of Citizens United v. FEC. "The Supreme Court's ruling could serve as a great opportunity for those interested in preserving democracy to neutralize corporate interests in government by calling for the expansion of public financing of campaigns."
