Seeking Tougher Campaign Finance Standards in Wisconsin

Wisconsin's Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton (D), who is running for governor, wants to strengthen the state's campaign finance laws by introducing public financing of elections. "Lawton says the legislature needs what she calls the 'shared courage of leadership' of a Governor. Lawton says it’s a motivating factor for me to put myself in a position to lead campaign finance reform and public funding of campaigns in Wisconsin.
