Advocates Continue Push for Public Financing in New York

The Long Island Press reports that advocates for state-wide public financing of elections, led by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli, continue to spread the word on the need to clean up Albany and open the door to a more diverse pool of candidates.  DiNapoli, who has volunteered to have his comptroller office be the first state-wide race to use public financing, has seen how money affects who runs for office. “It would give the average man or woman access to running in an election, it wouldn’t be so limited,”  said DiNapoli. For the full story, click here.
