NC Lawmakers Advance Local Campaign Financing Plan

On Thursday, the North Carolina House of Representatives Judiciary II Committee voted to advance a municipal public financing program. If the bill is passed by the House and Senate, more towns and cities will be able to participate in voluntary public financing programs. Presently, Chapel Hill is the only city in the state allowed to have such a program.
