A Judicial Public Financing bill was introduced in the Washington state legislature on Monday. The Supreme Court Fair Elections bill (HB 1738) would provide a voluntary system of public financing for the State Supreme Court candidates. This proposal would allow candidates to the highest court in the state to run a viable campaign without having to constantly fundraise or take money from special interests.
