Last week Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle called announced he would call a special session of the state legislature to consider a proposal for full public financing of judicial races. Today it was announced that all seven members of Wisconsin's Supreme Court have signed a letter supporting a public financing program for their races. The special session is slated to begin tomorrow, but leaders in the legislature are resisting action on the proposal.
