All Over The Place

Submitted by Katie Schlieper on Tue, 10/09/2007 - 17:21

This was clearly the weekend to write about Clean Elections! Papers in Iowa, Alaska, and Tennessee featured positive letters or editorials in support of public financing of campaigns -- we're sooo trendy. The Des Moines Register has a letter from Tom Rendon in response to a column earlier in the week in support of public financing of elections in Iowa. Also hot off the presses are this editorial in the Juneau Empire in support of Clean Elections for Alaska, by Steve Clearly of Alaska PIRG, and this editorial in The Tennessean by Common Cause President Bob Edgar urging improvements to the presidential public financing system.Read 'em all -- then fire up your computer and write a letter of your own, The Tennessean is looking for short opinion pieces on whether we should have public financing of elections.
