North Carolina Papers on BoardSubmitted by Katie Schlieper on Tue, 07/31/2007 - 4:35pm.
As the North Carolina Senate moves to take up the Council of State Voter-Owned Elections pilot project just passed by the house, the bill is getting positive press mentions in several papers. Here are a couple from the Raleigh News and Observer and the Asheville Citizen-Times both urging the Senate to pass the bill. It's likely to be quite a close vote, so this press support is great -- and remember if you live in North Carolina to give your state Senator a call!

Thank you for notifying me of North Carolina's publically funded elections board, and setting an example for the rest of the country to follow. Publicly funded elections mean NOTHING if the candidates have the option to opt in or out. They are only meaningful if all candidates, at every level of publicly-elected government are required to use only public funds. Post new comment |
