The Fayetteville Observer, bouyed by the unlikely but encouraging alliance of big political donors and a public financing proposition comes out strongly in favor of the bill being considered by the North Carolina legislature to expand the state's public financing program (currently available for judicial races) to Council of State races. The last line says it all: "It’s time to expand a good thing and give more offices back to the voters."
