West Virginia's Senate Judiciary Committee recommended passage of a law to provide public financing for legislative campaigns on the model of the Clean Elections laws in Arizona and Maine. The law would be funded through a combination of voluntary tax check offs and assets from the state's Unclaimed Property Fund.
