The Senate stalled on the ethics and lobbying reform bill Wednesday and it looked like it was going to be left for dead. But, last night, things changed and the Senate passed a bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said in the Washington Post: "This is the toughest reform bill in the history of this body as relates to ethics and lobbying, so everyone here tonight, when they vote on this, should vote proudly," said Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.). "This is historic."  This is a good first step to cleaning up Washington. Now we ned to focus on bringing public financing to all congressional races.
