Rolling Out Connecticut's Clean Elections

AP reporter Susan Haigh writes in The Boston Globe on Connecticut's plan to roll out the Clean Elections law it passed in 2005. Joining Clean Elections on the docket of new reforms to be implemented are increased transparency with regard to political contributions and bans on state contractor and lobbyist contributions. Haigh also writes about Republican hopes that the system will make money a much smaller factor in state races to "even the playing field" in local contests.
