And NOW for Clean Elections

Submitted by Katie Schlieper on Thu, 10/19/2006 - 21:23

Got plans on Friday? This Friday, the 20th, the PBS weekly newsmagazine NOW is running an hour-long special episode called "Votes for Sale?", which will spotlight the Clean Elections movement as it took hold in Maine and Arizona as well as talk about campaigns to win Clean Elections across the country, particularly the current Proposition 89 campaign in California. Check out a preview here.  The show includes an interview with our Executive Director, Nick Nyhart, on Clean Elections efforts both nationally and in the states. Also featured is David Donnelly, our national campaigns director, on his time as the campaign manager for the successful ballot effort that made Maine the first Clean Elections state in the nation. Check local listings or click here to search by zip code.  I hope you have time to watch NOW this Friday. And pass it along to your friends and family who might be interested in learning about the Clean Elections movement.
