Party-Crashing California

The Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer rights staged a little party-crashing yesterday in support of Proposition 89, offering basketball tickets to the person who could sneak in to the most campaign fundraisers.  August - the tail end of California's legislative session - is crunch time for candidates to fill their campaign war chests. Several lawmakers took the opportunity to profess their support for Proposition 89, including Assemblymembers Pedro Nava and Lois Wolk who maintained they'd still raise money to stay competitive until an alternative was available.
