Watchdogs want more lobbying info from supercommittee members
"[A] coalition of government reform and transparency organizations are demanding that supercommittee members voluntarily disclose their committee-related contacts with lobbyists and publicly report any campaign donations within 48 hours of receiving them." Transparency is important, should be tied with a halt to fundraising. -

Rep. Camp adjusting fundraising schedule.
National Journal and Sunlight Foundation are reporting that Rep. Dave Camp (R-Mich.), a member of the debt reduction “supercommittee” will not schedule any additional fundraisers while serving on the committee.

Sen. Kerry gives up fundraising during supercommittee
Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) said today that he was giving up fundraising while doing work on the Joint Committee on Deficit Reduction, or the “supercommittee.” He told the Boston Globe he was going to stop fundraising, “because I don’t want people to think that I’m being leveraged by contributions.
