Last week, Congress bowed to pressure of the food industry and blocked a proposed overhaul of school lunches by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). As Margo Wootan at the Center for Science in the Public Interest said, “It’s a shame that Congress seems more interested in protecting industry than protecting children’s health.”
