Sam Waterston Joins Fight for Fair Elections in New York
Public Campaign, along with allies in New York and national partners, have enlisted the support of famous Law & Order actor Sam Waterston for the campaign to bring Fair Elections reform to the state. Waterston appeared in a video where he makes the case for Fair Elections and urges New Yorkers to contact their lawmakers to back the long-overdue measure.

Senate Hearing: Taking Back Our Democracy
On Tuesday, July 24th, the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights of the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing entitled, “Taking Back Our Democracy: Responding to Citizens United and the Rise of Super PACs."
The hearing will be at 2:30 p.m. in Room 216 of the Hart Senate Office Building.
Subcommittee Chairman Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) will preside.

They showed they understood the abysmal state of how our nation’s elections our paid for — and heard grim testimony from experts that the “perfect storm of money in politics” in 2012 will only continue to get worse if we do not enact reform.
