As I mentioned yesterday, Public Campaign along with Common Cause and Progressive Maryland released a report yesterday on the correlation between energy deregulation and campaign contributions. With deregulation legislation that was so harmful to consumers and their pocketbooks and the fact that the electric utility industry has donated over $1 million to legislative and statewide candidtes in the state, there is the appearance of influence by campaign donors.
